Millypeds is a small company based in the Lampeter area of Ceredigion, West Wales (we are a non-funded company). We promote sustainability and recycling of old bicycles, putting to use bicycles which would otherwise go into the waste stream and end up in landfill. Here at Millypeds we safety check, repair and put out for resale. Those bicycles which are too damaged are dismantled for parts and some are turned into crazy bikes. The rest of the unwanted metal is sent to the metal recycling yard. All bicycles are donated by individuals or groups and those which I find in landfill. The range of services offered are (distance is not a problem):
Educational Services: Cycle training to National Standards (Bikeability) Levels 1, 2 and 3. Also, later in 2008 MTB training will be on offer. Workshop courses at schools, colleges, community centres or individuals’ own premises, from beginners level to advanced.
Crazy Bikes: Always popular with children and adults alike, for small local events through to festivals and corporate events across the UK.
Recycled Cycles: This is offered to encourage children to adults to come along and ‘do up’ a bike to take away with them.
Cycle Hire: This will be offered in the New Year (2008).
Mobile Repair and Maintenance: This service is where I come to you and repair your bike.

I am qualified to City & Guilds standard in bicycle repair, have public liability insurance and am CRB checked. We have experience of working with youth groups, those with disabilities and other disadvantaged groups.
